1946 photo of hotel supplier in Tacoma WA.  Mention was made about the concentric light fixtures                                                                being popular at the time.  

   One per 16-bed bay at WHMC 1971, many in the huge cafeteria, and generally just odd to see such a 

                                             retro item in that Air Force medical center. 

                                              Terribly hot, inefficient 300-watt bulb.  Kept   

                                            the WHMC air conditioning running pretty well 

                                             non-stop, but at least their's was reliable, and 

                                                         could handle the heavy load.

It survived clear to 1967, in Wichita Falls TX.
Our Relative's location for most of 3 years main
active duty USAF.
Kind of eerie the 3 TV stations were same channels
and Networks as in Omaha.
When PBS channel showed up later on, only one
channel away from our's:  27 !
And only there could it happen ; ; ; ; the PBS
station was discontinued ! 
The other most distinctive feature was Postal Service stuff.
Very few collection boxes around that city of 100,000.
And only 2 branch stations.
That building, of course, was their train depot.
